Little to be had, if one were to want it, yet all the same one gets the impression that they live better than the Russians. They can smile at themselves. What they display in the shop window: taste without goods, imagination, gracefulness. It looks almost like bravado.Yes, that's it. I'll be damned if I don't live my life with taste, imagination, gracefulness...bravado.
